At the start of the 2010 cricket season I began writing a column for the Yorkshire Post about being an enthusiastic - but not particularly talented - village cricketer.



The occasional columns about local cricket proved popular, and when I decided to stop writing about the subject after two seasons, I was asked to expand the column to cover other sports and other aspects of sport.
